    Walter Harris, MD, has been named Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, effective May 1. Dr. Harris will join Drexel University College of Medicine from his private practice, Rittenhouse Eye Associates, which he founded in 1989. He has served as an affiliate member of the College of Medicine faculty for nearly 30 years.

    Charles B. Cairns, MD, will become the next Walter H. and Leonore Annenberg Dean and Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs. He will succeed Daniel V. Schidlow, MD, who announced last year that he planned to retire this summer.
