Discovery Day 2013

On October 3, Discovery 2013, the College's annual research day, more than 300 posters will be presented on topics as diverse as infectious diseases, cancer, behavioral neurobiology and many more.

"Discovery is well into its second decade and prospering. It remains the primary event for showcasing the research efforts of our students, summer interns, technicians, postdoctoral fellows, residents, and faculty," said Barry Waterhouse, PhD, vice dean, Biomedical Graduate & Postgraduate Studies. "The day offers an unparalleled opportunity for us to recognize the breadth and quality of scientific achievement within the College of Medicine."

Alumni, faculty and staff, students and guests can view the posters from 9 a.m. until noon. After lunch the keynote speaker, Donald Ingber, MD, PhD, founding director of Wyss Institute; and the Judah Folkman Professor of Vascular Biology at Harvard Medical School and Boston's Children's Hospital, will present "Programmable Nanotherapeutics and Organs on Chips."

The later afternoon is devoted to platform presentations by senior students selected for the research symposium. For more information, please visit the Discovery Day web page.
