Match Day will be held on Friday, March 20.

Events celebrating the residency matches of the Drexel MD program Class of 2026 will be held in Philadelphia and West Reading.

Philadelphia Match Day FAQs

Where is the ceremony located?

The Match Day Ceremony will be held at the Hilton City Ave – 4200 City Avenue – Philadelphia Pennsylvania 19131.

What time should I arrive?

Guests should arrive at 10:45 a.m.

Do I need a ticket to enter?

Students wearing their Match Day shirt do not need a ticket to enter the ceremony. Guests three years and older are required to present a ticket to enter the event.

Will children need a ticket to enter the event?

Children two and under do not need a ticket to enter the event. Strollers will not be permitted inside the event space.

Where do I sit/stand during the event?

The event will be standing room only with limited guest seating. The event is general admission, and there are no reserved seats or tables.

How do I pick up my guest tickets?

Students will receive more information in their Drexel email regarding guest ticket pickup. Ticket pickup will take place during the week of March 16. Match shirts and a class gift will be distributed at this time as well. Ticket pickup prior to the event is strongly encouraged.

I have tickets reserved under my name. Where do I pick them up?

If you were informed that you have tickets available for pick up, they will be held at the Will Call Table in the lobby.

Where can I leave tickets for a friend?

You may leave any tickets for a friend at the Will Call Table in the lobby.

Will faculty and special guests need a ticket to enter the venue?

Faculty and special guests will not need a physical ticket to enter the venue. All faculty and special guests will need to stop at the check-in table before entering the ballroom.

Where do I go when I get to the Hilton City Ave?

Students and their guests can enter through the main entrance located on Stout Road. Event volunteers will direct you to the main ballroom for the event.

How long will the ceremony last?

The event will run for about three hours. The ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes immediately followed by a reception from 12-2 p.m.

Will there be any food or drink at the ceremony?

Yes, there will be a reception with food and drink from 12-2 p.m.

How do I pick up my Match letter?

Pathway Directors will distribute envelopes containing your Match results at the event. More instructions will be provided at the ceremony.

I have personal items with me (purse, jacket, etc.). Can I bring these items to the event?

Due to capacity restrictions, and the flow of the event, we encourage students and their guests to bring as few items with them as possible. This includes jackets and purses. Strollers will not be permitted inside the venue. Coat check will be available for jackets.

Can I bring flowers and balloons to the Hilton City Ave?

Flowers are allowed. Helium balloons will not be permitted. Due to capacity restrictions, and the flow of the event, we encourage students and their guests to bring as few items with them as possible.

Is there parking available for the event?

Event parking is available at the Hilton parking lot located on Stout Road. Parking is $15 for 4 hours.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Yes, the venue is ADA accessible.

What happens in case of inclement weather?

As part of our emergency preparedness protocols, the College of Medicine will monitor weather before the Match Day ceremony. Students and their guests will receive an email should the event need to be cancelled.

Will the event be livestreamed?

The event will not be livestreamed.

West Reading Match Day FAQs

Where will the ceremony take place?

 The Match Day Ceremony will be held at the Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health Campus, located at: 50 Innovation Way, Wyomissing, PA 19610

What time should guests arrive? 

Guests should plan to arrive at 10:30 a.m. to allow time for check-in and seating prior to the start of the ceremony.

Do I need a ticket to enter? 

Students wearing their Match Day shirt do not need a ticket to enter the ceremony. Guests ages three and older must present a ticket for entry.

Where will guests sit during the event? 

The event will be standing-room, cocktail-style, with limited seating available for guests who may need it. Seating and standing areas are general admission, and guests are encouraged to gather around their student at the designated high-top tables.

How do I pick up my guest tickets? 

Students will receive additional information via their Drexel email regarding guest ticket pickup.

  • Ticket pickup will take place during the week of March 11. 
  • Match Day shirts will also be distributed at that time.
  • Picking up tickets prior to the event is strongly encouraged to avoid delays on the day of the ceremony. 

Will there be a photographer and when will pictures be available? 

A professional photographer will be at the ceremony and reception. A limited number of photos will be available on the day of, the full photos will be available two weeks after the event.

I have tickets reserved under my name. Where do I pick them up? 

Tickets reserved under your name will be available at the check-in table located in the lobby on the day of the event.

Where can I leave tickets for a friend? 

If you need to leave tickets for a guest, you may do so at the check-in table in the lobby.

Do faculty and special guests need a ticket? 

Faculty members and invited special guests do not need a physical ticket, but they must check in at the check-in table in the lobby before entering the event space.

Where should I go when I arrive on campus? 

Students and their guests should enter through the main entrance at 50 Innovation Way. Event volunteers will be present to guide guests to the ceremony location.

How long will the ceremony last? 

The event will run for approximately three hours.

  • Ceremony: Approximately 60 minutes 
  • Reception: Immediately following the ceremony from 12-2 p.m. 

Will food or beverages be served? 

Yes. A reception with food and beverages will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Please note: Alcohol will not be served at this event.

How do I receive my Match letter? 

Instructions for receiving Match letters will be provided during the ceremony.

Can I bring personal items with me? 

Guests may bring personal items such as purses, coats or jackets, but please note:

  • There is no coat check available 
  • Personal belongings must remain with you during the event 
  • We recommend bringing only essential items. 

Are strollers permitted inside the venue? 

Yes, strollers are permitted inside the event space.

Can I bring flowers or balloons? 

Yes, guests are welcome to bring flowers and balloons to celebrate their student.

Is parking available? 

Yes. Free parking will be available on campus. All guests and students should park in the lower lot, which will be clearly marked on the day of the event. Event staff and signage will be available to help direct parking.

Is the venue ADA accessible? 

Yes. The venue is fully ADA accessible. Guests who may require additional accommodations are encouraged to contact DUCOMMilestones@drexel.edu in advance of the event.

What happens in the case of inclement weather? 

The College of Medicine will monitor weather conditions leading up to the ceremony. If weather conditions require any changes or cancellations, students and guests will be notified via email with additional instructions.
