Thursday, December 11, 2025
1:00 PM-2:00 PM
Please join the Climate Change and Urban Health in Latin America Project (SALURBAL-Climate) and the Drexel Urban Health Collaborative (UHC) for a webinar featuring Dr. Pedja Stojicic, Executive Director of People Power Health; a group of community organizers and trainers focused on bringing the social movement and community organizing skills to healthcare professionals, caregivers, and healers.
Dr. Stojicic earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Medical Degree from Belgrade University School of Medicine. Dr. Stojicic is an instructor at T.H Chan School teaching three courses – Enabling Teams, Enabling Large System Change, and Narrative Leadership.
Dr. Stojicic will present a talk titled, "Narrative Leadership for Climate Health: Moving People From Awareness to Action". In the era of accelerating climate impacts, information alone rarely shifts behavior—stories do. This webinar introduces Narrative Leadership, a practical framework that helps researchers, clinicians, and advocates communicate climate–health research in ways that resonate with non-academic audiences and motivate collective action. Drawing on lessons from community organizing and public health practice across the Americas, Dr. Pedja Stojicic will explore how to transform data into human-centered narratives that build trust, activate agency, and expand the coalition for climate solutions. Participants will learn how to craft stories that strengthen public engagement, influence city-level decision making, and support more just and healthier urban futures. Spanish and Portuguese interpretation will be available!
