Becoming a More Confident Writer Lunch & Learn
Thursday, December 4, 2025
12:00 PM-1:00 PM
The Drexel Writing Center and the Division of Global, Interprofessional, and Specialized Programming (GISP) are pleased to host: "Becoming a More Confident Writer"
Do you wonder if your writing skills are good enough? Spend a virtual lunch hour learning how the Drexel Writing Center supports all members of the University community - students, staff, faculty-- to continue to develop as writers. DWC offers access to free, confidential consultations on writing projects -- from interpreting assignments to planning, drafting, and editing. Individualized to support with assignments, personal statements, scholarly articles for publication, and personal projects -- from initial brainstorming to final revision, the Center is also a resource to help instructors integrate writing and the teaching of writing into the curriculum.
This Lunch & Learn will:
- Introduce a few “threshold concepts” that writing theorists use to understand writing
- Offer ways to look at writing through the lens of human diversity—especially language diversity
- Demonstrate how we work with student writers in a session
- Give you tips for your own writing productivity
Advance registration is required by Wednesday, December 3
