  • Outline the initial approach to diagnosis and management of a child with septic shock
  • Explain the indications for ECMO cannulation and distinguish between the different types of ECMO cannulation (veno-venous vs. veno-arterial)
  • Discuss the imaging, laboratory work, and other diagnostic studies obtained for this patient, as well as clinical progression that led to the final diagnosis
  • Discuss the differential, pathophysiology and management of the final diagnosis
