Thomas E. Robertson, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine.

Robertson serves as co-director of the RIvER Post-Incarceration Clinic, which provides care and support for recently incarcerated individuals, including assisting with the cost of treatment for opioid use disorder. He also was instrumental in the development of Internal Medicine Residency program electives in Guyana and with the Indian Health Service on a Navajo reservation in Arizona, allowing residents to spend four weeks in resource-limited clinics.

Publications

Robertson has authored or co-authored twelve peer reviewed publications, sixteen peer reviewed audio and seventeen poster presentations at national meetings. He has provided workshops at national meetings on topics including care of recently incarcerated patients. He has been an invited speaker at regional, national and international conferences on topics including POCUS, General Medical Care topics and care of the prior incarcerated patients. He is an editor for Hippo Education, a CME accredited podcast since 2022. He is a reviewer for several professional activities including Consortium of Universities for Global Health, Reflective Essay between 2018 to 2021, Western PA American College of Physicians, Abstract Reviewer from 2019 to the present and the ATS Scholar, Manuscript Reviewer in 2022.

Robertson authored "Vascular Ultrasound for the Society of Hospital Medicine, Point of Care Ultrasound Module" in 2020. In 2021 he authored "Lower Extremity DVT for the Society of General Internal Medicine Point of Care Ultrasound Module."
