Swosti Joshi, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine and neonatal-perinatal medicine attending at St. Christopher`s Hospital for Children. She is responsible for the simulation-based education for medical students, residents and fellows. She is the outreach point person of the Division of Neonatology.

Research Overview

Dr. Joshi's research interests include assessing the safety and efficacy of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) when combined with controlled hypothermia in neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, use of adjuvant therapies like vasopressin to prevent ECMO or to provide stability during ECMO initiation. Her research endeavors also involve inflammatory reactions associated with the initiation of ECMO.
