Dr. Michael Greenberg's primary clinical practice involves medical, occupational and environmental toxicology. He has served as a clinical consultant for the Philadelphia Poison Control Center since 1994. He served as a medical officer with the United States Marine Corps Reserve while in the United States Naval Reserve from 1985 to 1995, and served on active duty during Operation Desert Storm.

Michael Greenberg, MD, is an emeritus professor of emergency medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and a professor of public health in Drexel's Dornsife School of Public Health. He is the former program director for the Medical Toxicology Fellowship at Drexel, where he also served as the chief of the Division of Medical Toxicology.

He has served as an instructor in the Department of Defense Domestic Preparedness Program and as a consultant regarding chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction to the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security and the U.S. Navy's Office of Homeland Defense.

Greenberg is the founder and editor-in-chief of "The Visual Journal of Emergency Medicine" (Elsevier). He is a member of the senior editorial board of "Clinical Toxicology" (Taylor & Francis) and also a member of the editorial board for "Disease-a-Month" (Elsevier).

Research

Dr. Greenberg has served as principle investigator for several research projects funded by the U.S. Army dealing with hospital preparedness against weapons that might be used by terrorists.
