Bisan A. Salhi, MD, PhD, is associate dean for student affairs, community health and inclusive excellence at the West Reading Campus. She provides oversight of all aspects of student services leading to the successful completion of the medical degree. Salhi also oversees career advising and mentoring of students as they progress through the residency application and selection process. She is responsible for developing and promoting programmatic activities that foster an inclusive environment and facilitate a community of belonging.
Dr. Salhi is an associate professor of emergency medicine. She is a nationally renowned speaker, educator and scholar. Her work has been published in leading scientific journals, including the Annals of Emergency Medicine, Social Science and Medicine and the New England Journal of Medicine. Salhi's work in equity and inclusion extends to service beyond the College as a member of SAEM’s Education Committee, Academy for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Medicine and its Equity and Inclusion Committee.
