The Office of Community Health & Health Equity at Drexel University College of Medicine provides a platform for inter-professional, multidisciplinary community engagement and health equity activities and collaboration across Drexel University.

This platform serves as a catalyst for Drexel University schools, colleges, departments to develop relationships, partnerships, collaborations, and programs within the University and among Philadelphia community sites and stakeholders to achieve best health outcomes through health and wellness prevention, promotion and propagation.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT

• Healing Hurt People and the community outreach team (CYPHERs)
• Drexel mobile mPox vaccination (Dornsife, Free Libraries, DUCOM, HOP Clinics)
• DUCOM Health Outreach Projects – student-run clinics & educational programs
• Student Run Clinic Collaboration – DUCOM and Cooper Medical School
• Uplift Center for Grieving Children (upliftphilly.org) offers free grief groups that are led by Master’s degreelevel clinicians who provide trauma-responsive and healing-centered support. Groups allow youth and families to express their grief through non-judgmental discussions, creative activities, grounding techniques, and other forms of therapeutic support. All grief services are free for youth and families, regardless of immigration status, and do not require insurance.
