I spent the summer working as a research assistant in the Lung Disease Department of Amsterdam University Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During my two and a half months in Amsterdam I was able to help with research in COVID-19 and pediatric asthma. This was a unique experience to see how research is organized in a foreign institution and learn more about the Dutch health care system. I met some incredible people, attended the Dutch Lung Congress annual conference and participated in patient research visits. I am extremely thankful for this incredible opportunity!
