Devneet Kainth
During the summer between M1 and M2, I had the opportunity to spend eight weeks in Tanzania as part of the Drexel Dornsife Global Development Scholar's Program. During my time there, I collaborated with the NGO World Vision and worked alongside my fellow Dornsife scholars on a research project focused on identifying financial barriers to the adoption of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices, and understanding their impact on the health of underserved communities.
While engaged in this work, I had the privilege of immersing myself in Tanzanian culture. I explored vibrant cities, remote rural villages, and beautiful national parks, including the Serengeti! Moreover, I forged lasting friendships with locals, which added a fulfilling personal dimension to the experience. It was an exceptional and unforgettable program that I recommend to anyone with an interest in global health.
