Drexel University College of Medicine offers many summer and year-long opportunities to high school students, undergraduates and medical students who want to conduct research in the laboratories of its world-renowned basic science and clinical investigators. These programs are specifically designed to inspire students to appreciate the value of discovery and innovation with the ultimate objective of encouraging them to pursue a career in science and lifelong learning.
Neuroscience Camp
The College of Medicine’s Neuroscience Camp for high school sophomores and juniors provides the opportunity to learn the fundamental concepts of neuroscience and basic lab techniques in molecular neurobiology, neurophysiology and neuroanatomy.
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
The College of Medicine awards nine-week Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) to undergraduate students wishing to explore biomedical research careers.
Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship (MSSRF)
The Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship (MSSRF) program provides opportunities for up to 50 first-year medical students enrolled at Drexel University College of Medicine to engage in full-time clinical or basic science research under the direction of a member of the faculty at Drexel or one of our affiliated clinical sites.
Graduate Student Travel Award
A limited number of Travel Awards are available for College of Medicine Graduate Program students. Calls for applications are offered each Fall and Spring semester.
