Drexel University College of Medicine has recently secured more opportunities for the clinical education of our medical students. Our longstanding academic medical campus affiliation with Bayhealth Medical Center in Delaware has been expanded. It will serve as a new regional medical campus for the College of Medicine beginning at the start of this 2024-2025 academic year. Read more. (April 2024)
The Biden administration recently launched its new “Birthing-Friendly” hospital designation to recognize high-quality maternity care. Many of the hospitals recognized are affiliated with the College of Medicine as clinical education sites and we congratulate them for their excellence. The new designation aims to improve outcomes, as 80 percent of pregnancy-related deaths are preventable, with concerning disparities among racial and ethnic minority groups. (November 2023)
