Pediatric Update: Adolescent Health for the Primary Care Provider

About the Event
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM). An outstanding panel of renowned experts will provide pediatric care providers with up-to-date educational sessions on a number of hot topics in adolescent health.

Topics

  • Common menstrual issues in adolescence
  • Provision of tier-based contraceptive counseling, including LARCs; early initiation of contraception at the time of the office visit
  • Sexually transmitted infection: increased screening and provision of appropriate management, including partner treatment
  • Early recognition and initiation of care for teens and young adults with eating disorders

Target Audience
Physicians, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, health care educators, fellows, residents, medical students and others who care for adolescents and young adults
