Plastic Pollution
These students focused their project on plastic pollution and water quality in Philadelphia. One student in the group wrote this about their infographic:
"Everyone in our group was assigned to different focuses on the plastic pollution issue. Someone researched impact, someone else researched causes, etc. What we did together; however, was design our infographic. We came up with the idea of a transition of dark to light. The top of our poster started with murky, dark water full of plastic bottles and rings. Then, it moved to a cleaner water with fish and mussels. The reason I decided to add a picture of mussels was because I had previously learned that mussels are being introduced into the Schuykill river by scientists in order to filter the water naturally. They are able to absorb the harmful pollutants in water. It was wonderful to be able to incorporate my research and newfound knowledge into more than just the writing, but also the pictures!"
