Student Organization Partnership Program

The Lindy Center's Student Organization Partnership Program has been
established to foster deep, meaningful, and mutually beneficial relationships
with Drexel student organizations whose mission and goals are directly related
to civic engagement. Partner organizations are given special access to a
number of Lindy Center resources in addition to those outlined on our
  Student-Led Initiatives
page. These resources include the ability to reserve our space for events
(including evenings and weekends), inclusion of content in biweekly newsletter
and/or social media, support and guidance provided by your organizations
designated Lindy staff partner as needed. The Lindy Center also has small
storage spaces for partner organizations, based on availability. Organizations
affiliated with the Lindy Center are expected to become active participants in
the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, West Philadelphia and the greater
Philadelphia community through program engagement and volunteer service.
Organizations interested in establishing a partnership with the Lindy Center
should reach out via email to
  LindyCenter@Drexel.edu.
Affiliated student organizations are required to:
  -
Designate an Eboard member to serve as a Lindy Liaison responsible for
meeting with your organization's Lindy Center staff partner at least once
per term and provide information regarding their organization's programs,
    service events, and volunteer hours.

  -
Partner with the Lindy Center on at least one collaborative event per
    academic year.

  - Promote Lindy Center events and programs to student body.

  - Sign a partnership agreement with the Lindy Center.

Student Organization Event Space Usage Guidelines
  -
All student organization space requests are processed on a first come
    – first serve basis via the event form on
Dragonlink. Please ensure that you follow all requirements and deadlines outlined in
that process when requesting space. The Lindy Center will only approve usage
of our meeting spaces for organizations or events that have a civic
    engagement focus.

  -
Ensure that the building is secure when entering and exiting the premises,
and that all attendees swipe in upon entering the building. Door propping is
    strictly prohibited per
Institutional Building Access Policies. Executive board members with extended building access are responsible for
event attendees and any issues that may arise. Make sure that all attendees
have left the building and that the front door is fully closed at the end of
    the event.

  -
There are two event spaces available at the Lindy Center: the first-floor
main room (max capacity 65 people) and the first-floor conference room (max
capacity 25 people). Two single restrooms are available in the main room for
use by attendees in either space. Please be aware that event spaces may be
reserved both simultaneously and/or consecutively. These spaces may also be
used by the Lindy Center and faculty members for events. Please be
respectful of others using the space.

  -
Respect the office space and leave it clean and tidy after the event. Any
equipment used during the event should be returned to its original location
and in the same condition it was found. Any furniture moved should be
    returned to its original location.

  -
Food is permitted in both the conference room and main room. Perishable food
should be properly disposed of at the end of each event. Proper disposal
includes throwing any left-over food in the trash and tying the bag. Any
surface used for serving food and/or eating should be wiped down.

  -
As the event organizer, you are responsible for ensuring that everything
runs smoothly and that attendees behave appropriately. If there are any
issues or incidents, address them promptly and appropriately. In the case of
emergency, contact Campus Police immediately. A list of additional emergency
contacts is located at the front desk for your convenience. Please email
    lindycenter@drexel.edu
if there are any concerns or facilities issues so that a Lindy Center staff
    member can follow up.

Student Organization Storage Space Guidelines
The Lindy Center has a limited storage space available to partnering student
organizations. Interested organizations can apply for a designated storage
area annually, during the month of June. Student organizations must have an
established relationship with the Lindy Center in order to be eligible for a
storage space. The following rules apply:
  - Storage areas should be kept clean and organized.

  -
No items should be stored on the floor, or in the areas outside of the
    designated storage area.

  - No food or food products is permitted in storage areas.

  -
Items collected for donation can be stored for up to one week after the
    charity drive has ended.

  -
An inventory of the items in storage must be provided to the Lindy Center at
    the start of each term.

  -
Failure to meet the requirements of partnership with the Lindy Center will
result in the termination of storage space access.

  -
Students should be respectful of any events taking place when picking up or
    dropping off items.

Student Organization Extended Access
Student organization leaders on the executive boards of partnering
organizations can request extended hours access to the Lindy Center at any
time during the academic year. Extended access can be requested if the student
organization would like to host meetings or events outside of regular business
hours, or if the organization is currently assigned a storage space. Hours of
extended access include Monday - Friday 8am – 10pm; Saturday, Sunday,
and University holidays 8am – 6pm. Organizations interested in being
granted extended access should submit their requests via email to
  Lindycenter@drexel.edu.
Students granted extended access to the center will be required to sign an
extended access and space usage agreement before access is approved and
applied to their Dragon Card. Extended access permissions will be evaluated
annually at the time of leadership transitions.
