Overview
The Lindy Center for Civic Engagement offers several programs for Dragons interested in making a difference in community life through collective, public problem-solving. These programs incorporate meaningful opportunities to learn, engage, reflect, and lead.
- Student Leadership Programs: Develop your civic leadership skills through our Civic Engagement Leadership Certificate, a cohort-based learning opportunity that takes place over a year and engages students in workshops, reflection meetings, leadership positions, and a collaborative 6-month project. Students who are in leadership positions in other areas, such as student organizations, can also develop their skills using the Lindy Center’s student organization resources and take them back to their various leadership roles.
- Student Service Programs: Make a sustained commitment to service through the Drexel Community Collaborators program. Get funding for your student organization to design and host workshops for local middle-schoolers through the Lindy Scholars program. Serve the community through your co-op experience through our Drexel AmeriCorps Nonprofit Co-op program.
- Grants and Awards: Our grant and award programs support and recognize excellent civic engagement projects. These programs include our Anti-Racist Civic Engagement grant and our End-of-Year awards.
