KIMMEL CULTURAL CAMPUS COVID-19 POLICY:

Proof of Vaccination Requirement: All guests 5 years of age or older will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for entry into all Kimmel Cultural Campus venues. Adults 18+ will be required to show photo identification with their vaccination proof.

  • “Fully Vaccinated” means that a guest’s event is at least 14 days after their final COVID-19 vaccine dose.
  • Valid proof of vaccination include: vaccination card, photo or digital copy of proof of vaccination.
  • Proof of a negative COVID test will not be accepted.
  • Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children under 5 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

Mask Enforcement: All patrons over the age of 5 are required to wear masks inside the venue at all times (except when consuming food or beverage). Prolonged periods of mask removal are not permitted. This policy is in effect until at least April 30th. Please check the Kimmel Cultural Campus page for updates.

J.D. GRADUATES:

In order to attend the ceremony and enter the Kimmel Cultural Campus, you must have uploaded your proof of vaccination to Drexel, or received an exemption from Drexel. You may then present your Dragon Card (Drexel ID) to attend Graduation.

ONLINE LL.M. AND MLS GRADUATES:

In order to attend the ceremony, you must have uploaded your proof of vaccination to the Drexel Health Checker or have received an exemption from Drexel University, not later than March 28th. You must also bring a photo ID for entry to the Kimmel Cultural Campus.

Regalia

Ordering Regalia

The cost of the rental of regalia for J.D. and LL.M graduates is $76.98 (tax included). This covers the cost of your robe and hood. The cost of the rental of regalia for MLS graduates is $67.98. This covers the cost of your robe. I am pleased to tell you that everyone will wear a tam and the rental cost of the tam will be paid by the Law School, with the Dean’s compliments.

To order your regalia, please click here and select your degree from the drop down box. All orders must be placed not later than March 28th. Failure to do so will result in your inability to participate in Graduation.

An email will be sent to you when your regalia is ready for pick up from Barnes and Nobel Bookstore, 3250 Chestnut Street. The tams will be distributed to you at The Kimmel Cultural Campus when you arrive. However, if you need to pick up your Tam in advance, tams will be available for pick up in Room 416 at the Law School at the same time that your regalia is ready for pick up at Barnes and Noble Bookstore. An email, with instructions, will be sent. Your regalia and tam must be returned immediately following the ceremony at The Kimmel Cultural Center.

ORDER REGALIA

Regalia Pick-Up

Regalia: Graduation regalia will be available for pick up from Barnes and Noble Bookstore, 3250 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, beginning Monday, April 25 through Wednesday, May 18.  The Bookstore is open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. ALL REGALIA MUST BE PICKED UP BY MAY 18 – NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE PROVIDED. Any regalia not picked up by May 18th will be available for pick up when you arrive at the Kimmel Center for Graduation on May 23.

Tams: Tams will be provided to you when you arrive at the Kimmel Center on May 23 at 9:00 a.m. at the Comcast Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Kimmel Center. However, if you are in need of your tam prior to May 23, you may pick it up from Olivia O’Malley in Room 416 at the Law School between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on any Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday beginning April 26 through May 18.

All tams and regalia must be returned following the ceremony in the Comcast room.

Graduation Tickets

Each graduate will receive up to 9 tickets.  As a graduate, you do not need a ticket. The Kimmel Center requires that all guests present a ticket to gain admission into Verizon Hall.

REQUIRED GRADUATION SURVEY AND MEETING (DEADLINE: APRIL 1)

To request tickets, please click below and indicate how many tickets you would like. If any of your guests require accommodated seating, please indicate the type of accommodation required. Additional tickets, if available, will be awarded after April 1, on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in receiving additional tickets, please email Mary McGovern at mmcgovern@drexel.edu.

Order Deadline: April 1

Ticket Pick Up: Graduation tickets will be available for pick up from Olivia O’Malley in Room 416, Law School, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning April 19 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All tickets MUST be picked up by May 17 – NO EXTENSIONS. Tickets will not be available at the Kimmel Center.

JD GRADUATES ONLY:

You must complete a graduate survey and schedule a brief appointment by phone or zoom with a CSO Advisor (before picking up tickets).

  1. Log in to Symplicity
  2. Click on “My Account” link (located on left side menu)
  3. Complete Graduate Survey
  4. Schedule a short appointment in-person, by phone or Zoom with a CSO advisor to have your survey reviewed and finalized before picking up tickets

All ticket requests must be submitted not later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1st. (firm deadline). You will be contacted will when tickets are available for pick up and the process for the same. Graduation instructions will be sent to you in early May.

The Law School is not responsible for bringing unclaimed tickets to the Kimmel Center, though we can make arrangements with students who are no longer in the Philadelphia area.


Student Procedures

Students must arrive at the Kimmel Cultural Campus with their regalia no later than 9:00 a.m. 

They will report to the Comcast Room (JD) or the Founders Room (MLS and LLM), on the 2nd floor of the Kimmel Center. Tams will be distributed in the Comcast Room prior to the ceremony. Staff will be on hand to instruct on regalia, the processional, etc. The Comcast Room and Founders Room will be locked so that students may leave their belongings during the ceremony. Out of respect to our hosts at the Kimmel Center, we ask that our graduates please not leave trash or personal belongings behind in these rooms when you leave the venue.

J.D. GRADUATES:

Guest Procedures and Accommodations

Doors to the auditorium will open at 9:30 a.m. Guests are welcome to congregate in the lobby until that time. Guests needing special assistance or accommodations will be able to enter the auditorium at 9:15 a.m. by requesting to do so with the Kimmel Center door ushers. If a guest requires a wheelchair provided by the Kimmel Center, or special seating inside the auditorium, students should provide this information at the time they request tickets, via the request form.
