Employee Guidance for Suspended Operations on Feb. 14, 2025
As previously announced, Drexel is suspending operations and classes at our University City and Center City campuses, and at the Academy of Natural Sciences, on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025. Employees are not expected to report to campus or work remotely unless otherwise directed by their immediate supervisor, in which case they should refer to the Essential Personnel Policy. For non-exempt employees in University City, Center City, and the Academy who are not required to work, they will use “Admin Closing” on their timesheets.
The Queen Lane Campus, Salus at Drexel Elkins Park Campus and all Salus clinics will remain open, and the University’s fully online students will maintain scheduled class times. Drexel Medicine clinical practices will be closed. MD program leadership will communicate any schedule changes directly with students, faculty and professional staff. Drexel Transportation Services will suspend buses to all campuses.
The University’s policies for faculty and professional staff regarding suspension of operations and/or class cancellations (HR-13 Emergency Conditions) and essential personnel (HR-18 Essential Personnel) can be found on the Human Resources website.
