Students in their sophomore years or higher can study at the oldest operating institution of higher education in Ireland at Trinity College. All majors are welcome to apply, and LeBow majors have the opportunity to apply for the MDR scholarship, which covers the majority of costs to study abroad. The city campus is located in the heart of the bustling and friendly capital of the Republic of Ireland and houses modern and historic facilities, including one of the most iconic libraries in the world.

Drexel students in their pre-junior or junior year can spend a term at the National University of Ireland, Galway. With a distinguished reputation since 1845, NUI Galway welcomes students from over 95 countries to create a melting pot of education perfect for experiencing not just Irish culture, but culture from around the world. All majors can participate in this program but priority is given to Film and Video majors.

Sophomores and higher can study at University College Cork, a high ranked research university in Ireland’s second largest city. Open to all majors, the UCC exchange program immerses students in Irish culture while surrounded by the beauty of Irish greenery, stone buildings and riverside gardens.

With periods of cultural conflict in both Ireland and Jordan, these countries have had to work hard at the peace process. Students who are interested in the theory and practice of conflict resolution are encouraged to participate in this summer program that takes them to both Europe and the Middle East while drawing on the rich history of both nations. Open to all majors, this program is particularly well-suited to sophomores and higher with an interest in peace studies and political science.

This 10-week program allows Drexel students of all majors the chance to experience two world capitals in one term by spending 5 weeks in each country. Classes in both cities incorporate trips to local sites, festivals and more to truly demonstrate all that Dublin and London have to offer. There are no language requirements, and this program is open to sophomores and higher.
