2023 Photo Contest

Entry Requirements:

  • Photos must be taken during Drexel Study Abroad experience from Spring 2022 through Winter 2023 (including Intensive Course Abroad participants; excludes co-op abroad and NCEA participants)
  • Submission Requirements:
    • Limit of 3 photo submissions per person*
    • You must be present in at least one photo
    • At least one photo must be from the country where you studied abroad
    • You must designate one photo to be your "preferred" submission in the instance that we receive too many submissions and must limit voting
    • Each photo must have a caption of 10 words or less
  • Photo must be saved as “last name_first name_city_country_3 word title”**
  • Each student can only win once (e.g. 1st place cannot also win 2nd place)

*Reminder to students on ethical photography: we ask that students do not submit photos containing images of alcohol, high-risk recreational activities, and/or minors (persons under-18). We reserve the right to reject a photo submission that does not adhere to these requirements.

**All photos submitted to the photo contest are the property of the Office of Global Engagement and may be used in future marketing materials.

Timeline:

  • Feb 6, 2023: Submissions open
  • Feb 20, 2023: Submissions due
  • Feb 27, 2023: Voting begins on Instagram stories (@drexelstudyabroad)

Voting: 

  • Voting will take place on Instagram stories 
  • It will be designed like a bracket, taking place in rounds, and the winners of each round will continue onto the next, and so forth!
  • All photos will be randomly put head-to-head with another photo(s). 

Prizes:

  • First Place: $100 Amazon Gift Card
  • Second Place: $75 Amazon Gift Card
  • Third Place: $50 Amazon Gift Card
  • Honorable Mentions: 2 swag bags of Study Abroad merch
