10TH ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST!

The 2025 Photo Contest is now open!

Entry Requirements:

Photos must be taken during a Drexel Study Abroad experience from Spring 2024 through Spring 2025* (including Intensive Course Abroad participants; excludes co-op abroad and NCEA participants)

*Spring 2025 ICA participants are eligible to submit photos. Students currently abroad now for the full Spring term must wait until next year's contest.

Submission Requirements:

Limit of 2 photo submissions per person*
You must be present in at least one photo
At least one photo must be from the country where you studied abroad
Your first choice photo will be prioritized in the event that we receive too many submissions to include both of your photos in the voting.
Photo must be saved as “LastName_FirstName_Country_City_3-word-title”**
Each student can only win once (e.g. 1st place cannot also win 2nd place)

*Reminder to students on ethical photography: we ask that students do not submit photos containing images of alcohol, high-risk recreational activities, and/or minors (persons under-18). We reserve the right to reject a photo submission that does not adhere to these requirements.

**All submitted photos are property of Drexel Global. By submitting a photo to the photo contest, you consent to your photo being used in future marketing materials for Drexel Global.

Timeline:

April 11th, 2025: Submissions open
April 23th, 2025: Submissions close
April 28th, 2025: Voting begins on Instagram stories (@drexelstudyabroad)

Voting:

Voting will take place on Instagram stories @drexelstudyabroad
It will be designed like a bracket, taking place in rounds, and the winners of each round will continue onto the next, and so forth!
All photos will be randomly put head-to-head with another photo(s).

Prizes:

First Place: $100 in Dragon Dollars
Second Place: $75 in Dragon Dollars
Third Place: $50 in Dragon Dollars
Honorable Mentions: 2 swag bags of Drexel Global merch

Note: Even for students who do not receive a prize, we want to display all of your photos! We have bulletin board space outside of our office, and we would love to print out first choice photos for students who do not rank in the Top Three or Honorable Mentions and place them alongside our program promo.
