In October of 2021, I was honored to discuss my dissertation research at an oral presentation session entitled "Citizen perspectives on urban health" at the 5th Healthy City Design (HCD) International Congress. The HCD Congress brought together scholars and practitioners around a single topic: urban health. The focus of the Congress was broad: fields such as urban planning, social work, public health, economics, and environmental studies were represented at the conference, enabling and inspiring significant cross-sector collaboration, and action.

Copenhagen has developed a food tourism market based on its restaurants and the innovation that is going on within their food community. The trip to Copenhagen was to engage with many of these key restaurants and the food innovators. The restaurant Noma was named the Best Restaurant in the World this past year as they also received their third Michelin star (highest rating a restaurant can receive from Michelin). I was able to secure the highly sought dinner reservations and met with Jason White, the head scientist for their legendary science lab (pictures included).

This Fall, Drexel has had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Feher for her Fulbright scholar research. Dr. Feher comes from Hungary and has many experiences all over the world including work in Southeast Asia. So, what exactly is she researching? Her focus is on media, specifically media created or powered by artificial intelligence and how it improves media services but also ways in which it may fail. One may wonder how Dr. Feher ended up at Drexel, which she shares has been quite a long journey.
