Michael LeVasseur, PhD, a visiting assistant professor at the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in an April 8 Philadelphia Inquirer article about concerns by the White House’s Coronavirus Response Director that Philadelphia could be a coronavirus hot spot, while numbers suggest the growth in Philadelphia’s COVID-19 cases may be slowing.
LeVasseur said public health officials and policymakers should be cautious with models. "This isn't same thing as forecasting a hurricane or a snowstorm," he said.
