High-Income Philadelphians Getting Tested for Coronavirus at Far Higher Rates Than Low-Income Residents
April 6, 2020
Usama Bilal, MD, PhD, an assistant professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in an April 6 Philadelphia Inquirer article about his finding that high-income Philadelphians are getting tested for coronavirus at far higher rates than low-income residents.
Bilal made this discovery using data from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. “What it shows is social inequality,” he said. “This needs to change.”
