You Pay What You Can at the New EAT Cafe in West Philadephia

The opening of the EAT Café, a pay-what-you-can restaurant supported by the Center for Hunger-Free Communities of the Dornsife School of Public Health and the Center for Hospitality & Sport Management, was covered by several media outlets, with stories quoting Mariana Chilton, PhD, director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, and Donnell Jones-Craven, general manager of the Cafe. The Philadelphia Inquirer ran a story on Oct. 26, segments on the Cafe were featured on the same day during newscasts on KWY-TV (CBS-3), WPVI-TV (6-abc), WCAU-TV (NBC-10), WTXF-TV (FOX-29) and WPHL-TV (PHL-17). Another segment on the opening ran during FOX-29's morning broadcast on Oct. 27 and 13 different FOX-affiliated news programs across the country featured the story as well.
