Suruchi Sood, PhD, associate professor of Community Health and Prevention, was quoted in a Jan. 11 National Public Radio (NPR) story about the teen television show, East Los High, which includes public health messages. According to Dr. Sood, the United States is lagging behind in this area of public health communication, which is utilized by many other nations.
