Biostatistics Professor Offers Advice to Carribean Youth

November 25, 2015

Loni Philip-Tabb, PhD, an assistant professor of Biostatistics in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was recently featured in The Philadelphia Tribune for her achievements in biostatistical research. In addition to her work, the article also describes her as a mentor to youth as well as to students in similar educational programs.

Dr. Tabb stated, "I have also recently joined the mentoring ranks of the Math Alliance which is a National Science Foundation funded organization geared toward increasing the number of doctoral degrees in the math/sciences among groups that have been traditionally under-represented in those fields," she said. "Mentoring is the key in developing our youth."
