Student Health Billing

The Drexel Student Health Center bills the student's health insurance plan for all services including office visits, immunizations, physicals, lab draws, allergy shots, etc.

The co-payment at the time of visit will be the fee determined by your insurance company. It is usually indicated on your insurance card. If you have questions about your insurance coverage, please call the customer service phone number listed on the back of your insurance card. If you do not have your insurance card, call your health insurance plan and ask them the co-pay amount for primary care office visits.

The Student Health Center will collect your co-pay at the time of visit. This can be in the form of cash, check or credit card.

If you have HMO insurance, and would like the cost of your visit to be covered by your insurance, you will need to make Drexel Student Health Center your primary care provider.

Please be aware that if you have not met the deductible for your insurance policy, your insurance company may not cover the cost of your visit at the Center and you will be responsible for the charges.

All Drexel students are required to have health insurance, and it is important for you and your family to review your current coverage. Otherwise without insurance coverage you will be considered self pay and will be responsible for the full cost of the office visit. Please bring the following to all of your visits to the Drexel Student Health Center:

  • Your Drexel ID
  • Your health insurance card or information (copies of the front and back of the card are acceptable)
  • A form of payment for co-pay or fees: cash, check, or credit card
