Student Organizations

Drexel University has several student organizations striving to educate the Drexel community, raise awareness, promote wellness and reduce stigma around mental health.

Active Minds

The Active Minds student organization serves as a liaison between students and the mental health community by promoting open discussions about mental health, and holding various events such as movie screenings, panel discussions, stress relief activities and being a part of national events (Mental Health Awareness week, Stomp out Stigma, National Eating Disorder Awareness Week, etc.).

The goals of Active Minds are to break down the stigma of mental illness, raise awareness of mental health among college students, and to provide information and educate our campus about mental illnesses and what help is available.

NAMI on Campus (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

NAMI on Campus at Drexel University is a student organization that strives to educate students and the community, raise awareness, and reduce the stigmas that surround mental illnesses. NAMI Drexel provides support to those with mental illness on campus by giving information on how to care for oneself in spite of the stresses of daily life. NAMI students advocate for accessible mental health services on a local, state, and national scale to enhance the quality of life of those in our community and beyond.
