Health Alert Regarding Coronavirus Outbreak
Drexel is committed to preserving and maintaining the health and safety of all members of its community. The University continues to monitor closely the coronavirus outbreak and is following guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Pennsylvania Department of Public Health and Philadelphia Department of Public Health.
Most patients recover from the virus, but the symptoms include fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. The best way to limit the spread of viruses is through good hygiene, including covering your mouth when coughing; covering your nose when sneezing; washing your hands frequently; avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; avoid close contact with people who are sick; stay home if you are sick; and sanitize personal spaces.
Drexel will continue to monitor the situation. In the meantime, please remain alert and take all necessary precautions.
