PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Drexel's Comprehensive Colposcopy Training Course is the expert resource in cervical and lower genital tract pathology. Participants will be exposed to a premier panel of speakers who offer the most current information, reliable guidance and state-of-the-art hands-on experience for all aspects of colposcopy.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Advanced Practice Nurses, Midwives, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses and any Healthcare Professional with an interest in learning the most current indications and techniques of colposcopy.

Outcome
To enable the nurse and other healthcare professionals to demonstrate knowledge in Cervical and Lower Genital Tract Pathology.

Overall program objectives
1. Review the components of a complete gynecologic history and physical examination that is focused on cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and anal anomalies.
2. Discuss current screening guidelines for cervical and lower genital tract cancer prevention.
3. Discuss the indications for colposcopic examinations and biopsy.
4. Identify abnormal cytopathology and histopathology findings and colposcopic patterns.
5. Discuss the current appropriate management of premalignant and malignant diseases of the cervix and lower genital tract.

Contact hours
15.0 Continuing Nursing Education contact hours will be provided.
You must attend the entire program to receive credit.

Drexel University (DREXEL) College of Nursing and Health Professions, Division of Continuing Nursing Education is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Standards for Integrity and Independence

The provider will collect information from all individuals in a position to control content regarding financial relationships with ineligible companies, analyze the data for relevant financial relationships related to the educational content; and mitigate relevant financial relationships. The results of this analysis will be reported in the course presentation materials.
