Culture, Climate and Belonging
Fundamental to our endeavors at the College of Nursing and Health Professions, climate, culture and belonging enrich our experiences in education, research and practice. We strive daily to be a college whose faculty, professional staff and students reflect the richness of Philadelphia as well as the global community. CNHP aspires to be a place where our policies and practices ensure equitable treatment of and advancement for all and one that cultivates a culture where all members of the community are welcomed and feel respected and valued as agents in their own education and professional development.
To fulfill the mission of the college, to live our values of justice and health fairness, and for everyone across our communities to be ceaseless advocates for health as a human right, we must ensure that the future care providers and health professionals we educate have a deep sense of health disparities and what they can do to address them. The first step is to make certain that CNHP’s culture, classrooms, study areas and work environments are places where all voices are heard, people are seen and lived experiences are honored.
Because health equity and innovation depend on many perspectives, CNHP is committed to seeking contributions from a dynamic student community.
