Certificate in Simulation
This weeklong intensive immersion course provides participants theory and hands-on training with leading-edge simulation skills using state-of-the-art computerized manikins (Human Patient Simulators, or HPS) and patient actors, also known as standardized patients (SP). Programming covers a broad spectrum – from design and implementation of scenarios to setting up and running a simulation center. Participants completing the weeklong course will earn a Drexel University “Certificate in Simulation.”
Immersion in Simulation
This program will provide the essential information a nurse educator would need to incorporate simulation in a curriculum or a clinical setting. Simulation techniques for both the Human Patient Simulator and Standardized Patients will be presented. Debriefing techniques and moulage are also included.

Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and Ultrasound Guided Procedures for Emergency Providers
The first day of the course will teach providers the fundamental concepts of ultrasound and obtaining an image. It will cover various techniques for assessing patients in the emergency setting. Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) continues to evolve as the main source of gathering clinical information of patients presenting the emergency setting with various complaints and problems. The second day is the procedural course which will focus on central lines, joint aspiration, lumbar puncture, needle decompression and chest tube insertion utilizing both didactic and hands on experience for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Procedures are an integral
skill needed to care for patients in the emergency setting.
Simulation Review for Certification
The theoretical and practical realms of various simulation techniques are presented as well as a review of the competencies for educators working in simulation. Strategies and challenges with simulation will also be presented.
Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN / CARN-AP): Review for Certification
This certification review course will prepare the participant for the Certified Addictions Registered Nurse certification exam. This includes both the Basic and Advanced Practice Certification exam.
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Advanced Practice (PMHNP-BC): Review for Certification
This two-day certification review course will provide participants with an overview of all materials covered in the PMHNP certification exam as defined in the ANCC's Test Content Outline and will prepare participant to sit for the exam by reviewing knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to successfully maneuver through the exam.

The Certificate in Nursing Education program provides an overview of essentials for nursing faculty. The two-day program offers insightful discussion about key aspects of the academic nurse educator and clinical nurse educator role from leaders in the field of nursing. The program will provide comprehensive education for registered nurses working in a faculty role or those interested in a future faculty role.

This Review for Certification: CNE & CNEcl nursing continuing education program was developed by Drexel University, College of Nursing and Health Professions, Division of Continuing Nursing Education. This program will provide a review of the core competencies for nurse educators, which is the basis for the certified nurse educator exam.

According to the AACN, "the purpose of the CNL certification is to create a unique credential for graduates of master's and post-master's CNL programs (AACN, 2017). This Review for Certification: CNL nursing continuing education program was developed by Drexel University, College of Nursing and Health Professions, Division of Continuing Nursing Education. This program will provide a review of the core standards and competencies for clinical nurse leaders, which is the basis for the clinical nurse leader exam.
The Art and Science of Moulage
This half day hands on program will cover: The basics of moulage & building reality; Manikins and Makeup: Moulage for Human Patient Simulator (HPS) Actors to Makeup: Moulage for Standardized Patients (SP); FX Basics: Creating Your Own Reality; and Clean up and Restoration.
