Check out the event schedule, speakers, and plan your experience.
We have already recruited over 250 speakers for you to network with. We will start each day with an intro on each sector (career options, being a competitive applicant, resources for success). This is a great way for you to jumpstart each day and plan for what events you would like to attend. Then you will have the ability to network with professionals in a variety of jobs, participating in informational interviews, which we hope will help you identify your career of choice and the steps required to get your foot in the door. We will host a series of Zoom rooms for career conversations with one or two speakers. Multiple rooms with speakers in similar career paths will run concurrently. For example, research positions in industry would have multiple rooms going at once. Our goal is that each room will have no more than 15 participants, giving every attendee ample time to connect with a professional. Participants will have the ability to move through the "rooms" as they like, meeting a speaker, asking questions, or even just listening in to see if a particular career path looks enticing. NOTE: What is said in these rooms will NOT be recorded.
We will also have a workshop on Why Career Choices are so Hard: a practical guide for navigating the career on Wednesday afternoon, and a workshop on Thursday afternoon on Current Hiring Trends.
