During the spring term the CEMP Residency Program assign small groups of Drexel dancers to develop choreography with middle school students throughout the city. This weekly collaborative process fosters artistic development and culminates with a finished dance work to be presented at the CEMP Matinee in June.
CEMP partners with area schools such as:
Lowell Elementary School
Lingelbach Elementary School
Nebinger Elementary School
Thomas Alva Edison
The Community Engaged Movement Partnerships Matinee showcases all of the diverse and transformative dance works created through the Community Engaged Movement Partnerships. Presented in early June in the Mandell Theater, the students from the Residency Program and Wheelchair Dance perform for a sold-out audience of Philadelphia school students.
