Residency Compliance
Drexel’s Two-Year Residency Program (2YRP) is communicated to students throughout the admissions process and during their first year in a variety of ways including their University 101 course sessions, emails and letters, campus signage, and more. Participation in 2YRP is required of all first- and second-year residential undergraduate students.
Drexel University expects students to comply with 2YRP, as stated in the University Code of Conduct. Any student subject to 2YRP who is found to be non-compliant or provides false information to a University official or office will be billed a non-compliance fee as explained below.
First-Year Residency Compliance
First-year undergraduate students are expected to live in University residence halls unless granted commuter status by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions prior to the first day of the Fall Term. Any first-year undergraduate student who is not an authorized commuter is considered a residential student.
Second-Year Residency Compliance
Second-year undergraduate residential students are expected to live in a compliant housing option. If by Week 1, Winter term, a second-year student has not secured a compliant second-year housing option, the student will be given the option to secure compliant housing for their third-year, or, be assessed a non-compliance fee equivalent to two academic terms of double occupancy, suite-style housing.
