PhD Student Mollie Davis Appointed to Drexel’s Student Global Advisory Board
PHILADELPHIA, PA,
November 8, 2013
Mollie Davis, a student in the School of Education’s PhD program in Educational Leadership Development and Learning Technologies, has been appointed to Drexel University’s Student Global Advisory Board. A select group of students are appointed to the board based on academic achievement and commitment to expanding and strengthening Global Drexel.
Davis spent the last nine years living and teaching overseas in Turkey, Bangladesh, and Honduras. Davis says the experience provided her a unique perspective on the world’s cultural diversity, and the importance of being open to differences and similarities among people.
“I look forward to using my experiences to shape my involvement in the Student Global Advisory Board to help Drexel develop its goal of global engagement,” Davis says. “I am very interested to work more with the development of ties between Drexel and its international partner universities.”
Enhancing Drexel’s global impact is one of the strategic initiatives set forth in the University’s 2012-17 Strategic Plan. The goal of the Student Global Advisory Board is to gain student insights and include student contributions in the processes of promoting on-going international programs and creating new international experiences abroad and on campus.
