Acceptance
A notice of grant award (also referred to as a notice, NGA, NOA, NOGA or award letter) is a notification from a sponsor indicating that funding has been awarded. The Office of Research typically receives these award notices, however, sponsors may sometimes notify the principal investigator directly. Award notices may require the signature of an authorized University official, and if received directly by a principal investigator or the department, the award notice should be forwarded immediately to the Office of Research’s pre-award administrator for review and processing.
Before an award can be accepted, your pre-award administrator completes a comprehensive review of all of the terms and conditions of the award. Your pre-award administrator is responsible for conducting all negotiations with sponsors to obtain mutually acceptable remedies that will allow the University to accept the award.
Only the authorized official or designee can endorse an award on behalf of Drexel University.
