Ballard Spahr’s 16th Annual Resume Writing and Interview Workshop for Diverse First-Year Law Students

Deadline: February 4

January 24, 2022

Career services professionals are acutely aware of the difficulty for law students to get noticed in a competitive job market. A strong resume and solid interviewing skills are often the primary ways students are able to distinguish themselves.

To help students develop these critical skills, Ballard Spahr cordially invites six diverse first-year law students from Kline Law to participate in their 16th Annual Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills Workshop, which will be held virtually, on February 23, 2022. Ballard’s Diverse Lawyers Group hosts this event each year as a way to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession.

Participating students will have the opportunity to meet with practicing legal professionals in one-on-one sessions designed to provide frank and informative feedback on the materials and skills necessary for landing a position in the legal field. After a presentation on resume writing and interviewing, students will participate in virtual mock interviews with practicing attorneys and will receive individualized feedback.

Due to the individualized nature of the workshop, space is limited to 6 students. This is a first come, first served opportunity. CSO will keep a waiting list. This is a great opportunity to get feedback on your cover letter and application and network with a VIP law firm since Ballard Spahr recruits our students through OCI.

If you would like to attend, you must RSVP via Symplicity/Events AND send a resume & cover letter to Jen Moore/CSO jdm368@drexel.edu no later than February 4.
