Professor Emily Zimmerman and Visiting Professor Kathryn Stanchi presented “Scholarship: You Can Do It” at the Legal Writing Institute’s 15th Biennial Conference in Palm Desert, Calif. on June 1.

The presentation provided practical tips for legal-writing faculty who are interested in producing scholarly work.

Zimmerman’s scholarly publications include “What Do Law Students Want?: The Missing Piece of the Assessment Puzzle, in the Rutgers Law Journal in “Do Grades Matter?” in the Seattle University Law Review.

Stanchi’s scholarly work includes “Playing With Fire: The Science of Confronting Adverse Material in Legal Advocacy,” in Rutgers Law Review, and “The Power of Priming in Legal Advocacy: Using the Science of First Impressions to Persuade the Reader,” in the Oregon Law Review.
