Professor Pammela Quinn Saunders Presents Research on Pilot Judgments at Conference in the Netherlands

June 20, 2012

Professor Pammela Quinn Saunders is presenting a paper, “Making Pilot Judgments Work: Lessons from Integrated Enforcement,” on June 20 at the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law/Netherlands Institute of Advanced Studies Joint Conference in Wassenaar.

The paper explores pilot judgments, which are a new procedural mechanism similar to class-action suits, used in the European Court of Human Rights.

Saunders scholarship traces the enforcement of international legal norms through overlapping and integrated actions undertaken at the international and domestic levels.  A member of the law school’s visiting faculty for the last two years, Saunders will join the full-time faculty in the fall.
