Six members of the faculty are presenting their research at the 2012 International Conference on Law and Society in Honolulu, Hawaii June 5-8.

Professor Susan L. Brooks, associate dean for experiential learning, will join a panel to discuss research on juvenile victims of crime and restorative justice on June 5.  Brooks will present her own research, “Using Communications Models to Teach Relational Competencies in Law School on June 7.

Professor Anil Kalhan will present “Immcarceration,” an exploration of his research on the criminalization of immigrants on June 5.  Kalhan will also join a panel exploring a historical perspective on immigration enforcement on June 8.

Professor Rose Corrigan will chair a panel, Constructing Rape Victims and Perpetrators: Lessons from across a Sea of Islands and present her own paper, “Putting the ‘Community’ in Community Responses to Rape: Rape Crisis Centers Re-Shaping Post-Rape Medical Care,” on June 5.

Professors Bret Asbury and Kevin Woodson will present their research, “Opportunity for All: The Case for Public Boarding Schools” at a session on Race, Class, and Gender in Educational Settings on June 7.

Professor Lisa McElroy will present “Cameras at the Supreme Court: A Rhetorical Analysis,” as part of a session on The Press, The People and the U.S. Supreme Court on June 7.
