Afro-House Dance for Everyone (15 Wellness Points)*

Afro-House For Everyone is a fusion class mixed with Traditional West African and House Dance movement vocabulary. This class is a mixed level class designed to increase cardio, strengthen abdominal muscles while moving your body to a funky beat. Sneakers/ tennis shoes must be worn in this class.
The class is a mixed-level class & the class is a fusion of Traditional West African Dance & House Dance. The class is also a cardio class.
Participants will need the following:
- Workout Clothing that they can easily move
- Lappa (fabric to wrap around pelvis)
- Sneakers for outdoors or hardwood service
- Hand Towel
- Water
Antoinette M. Coward-Gilmore is the Founder, CEO and Artistic Director of Danse4Nia, Philadelphia’s premiere arts organization that is the home to professional project-based dance company Phoenix Danse and youth dance company Nia-Next. A native Philadelphian, Coward-Gilmore began her dance training in 1985.
*Participants in our Wellness Incentive Program are eligible to earn 15 points (a $15 credit) for attending this event. You must sign-in to receive credit.
You must register for the Health Advocate Wellness Incentive Program AND complete your annual Personal Health Profile before you will be eligible to receive any payouts. Points for attending these events will be sent to Health Advocate on a monthly basis for the prior month’s activities. There will be a 6-week delay in these points and payouts being distributed.
