Students can step back in history by spending a term at the University of Aberdeen, the fifth oldest university in the English-speaking world and part of the “Four Ancients” in Scotland, the Scottish equivalent to the Ivy League. The city of Aberdeen is known both for its history and its thriving community, mixing city life with miles of surrounding countryside — leading to being named the Happiest City to Live in the U.K. Additionally, Drexel students can apply for a scholarship that awards recipients up to $35,000 to attend Aberdeen for the full academic year thanks to the generosity of the St. Andrew Society of Philadelphia. Students of all majors in their sophomore year and up can take part in this exchange program, with a 3.0 minimum GPA and no language requirement.
