Exchange Programs

Drexel in England: University of Bristol

Founded in 1876, Bristol University has become a leader in the UK and recognized globally for its research focus and academic excellence. In fact, Bristol is the highest ranked Drexel partner in all of Europe, at 37th in the world according to the QS World Rankings. This exchange program is open to all sophomores and higher with a 3.0 GPA, who will integrate fully into this historic and friendly city known for its art scene and festivals.

Drexel in England: University of Leeds

Located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, the University of Leeds is a research university with a storied history. Founded originally as the Leeds School of Medicine in 1831, it grew into the Yorkshire College of Medicine and finally the University of Leeds it is today, ranked 19th in the United Kingdom. With over 32,000 students attending, this is an exciting and multi-cultural exchange program for Sophomores, Pre-Juniors, and Juniors to explore. Open to all majors, students are required to have a 3.0 minimum GPA.

Drexel in England: University of Sheffield

Known for their highly ranked engineering and social sciences programs, the University of Sheffield exchange program is a great chance for sophomores and up to explore the fourth-largest and greenest city in England. With over 150 woodlands and 50 public parks, students will have the opportunity to study while surrounded by nature’s beauty. This program is open to Drexel students from all majors with a 3.0 GPA or higher, but there are limited business courses so Lebow College of Business students should plan to take non-business classes.

Drexel in England: University of York

The University of York is a rapidly expanding research institution, with 20 new buildings constructed since the year 2000. Between this booming growth and being a member of the Russell Group (the U.K. equivalent of the Ivy League), it’s no surprise that this university attracts a diverse student body of 16,000. Located half-way between London and Edinburgh, the university resides in one of Britain’s most connected cities while retaining the beautiful countryside England is known for. This program is open to Drexel sophomores and higher with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

By partnering with the Foundation for International Education (FIE), Drexel has created an opportunity for sophomores and up to spend a full term studying in London. FIE is located in South Kensington, an area teeming with history — classrooms and residence halls are in converted Victorian buildings. This program is offered every term, and is an exciting opportunity for students with a 2.75 GPA from any major to visit the number one destination for study abroad.

By partnering with the Foundation for International Education (FIE), Drexel has created an opportunity for sophomores and up to spend 5 weeks studying in London. FIE is located in South Kensington, an area teeming with history — classrooms and residence halls are in converted Victorian buildings. This program is offered summer term, and is an exciting opportunity for students with a 2.75 GPA from any major to visit the number one destination for study abroad.

Drexel has partnered with the Foundation for International Education (FIE), a London-based study abroad organization, to run this program. FIE is based in South Kensington, a historic and charming area of London. This program is open to CNHP, Pre-Med, Public Health, and Global Health students and fits into Drexel's Spring quarter.

The London College of Fashion is providing Drexel students with a 3.0 GPA the opportunity to be part of one of Europe’s largest and most influential university for arts and design. Open to Fashion Design and Design and Merchandising majors, this program takes advantage of London’s thriving fashion scene while teaching specialist skills in the stimulating and multicultural environment of LCF.

Drexel in England: London Dance Conservatory

Open to Dance majors and minors, dance ensemble members and advanced dancers and choreographers, this ten-week program takes place at the Trinity Laban Conservatory, one of the world’s most prestigious centers for choreography and somatic study, and the Foundation for International Education in London. Participating students will receive individualized study through workshops, open studio time and one-on-one mentorship at Trinity Laban, and take dance appreciation and a second elective during the second session at FIE. Students must be a sophomore or above with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
