Bonnke Mutias Sitati | Kenya

Bonnke Sitati has over 15 years of experience with community development, civic leadership, and technology integration.  Bonnke is currently the program delivery lead and ERG lead for community and earth at Assent, where she focuses on using technology to address pressing issues for vulnerable groups.  Bonnke has a background in both community development and technology, and he has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between the two, working to empower marginalized communities through innovative solutions.  Throughout his career, Bonnke has actively volunteered with local organizations, mentoring and supporting underserved youth while advocating for their access to educational resources.  He has also led a number of community-based initiatives aimed at increasing digital literacy and technological empowerment among marginalized populations.  Bonnke has a bachelor's degree in community development and is driven to see positive change in his community.  After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Bonnke intends to broaden his impact by working with like-minded individuals and organizations to implement scalable solutions that empower marginalized communities.  He plans to use his newly acquired knowledge and network to make even greater contributions to the creation of a more equitable and inclusive society.
