Joanna Atukunda | Uganda
JOANNA ATUKUNDA is a social worker by profession with a BSc. Gender and Women Health. She is Passionate about Transformational Leadership, Quality Education and Women Health. Joanna is the Founder and Team Leader UPLIFT SLUM-AFRIKA, a Non-Profit organization that is aimed at equipping the young adolescents in slum dwellings with comprehensive knowledge on Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Quality Education.
She is also the Co-founder of The League of Young Professionals Uganda, an organization aimed at improving the reading culture of young people in Uganda and Africa through nurturing a new breed of African readers who are readers.
She is a fellow of The Young African Leaders’ Initiative (YALI), Regional Leadership Centre Nairobi East Africa Fellow: Emerging as an inspiring young East African leaders as well as the Mandela Washington Fellow (MWF) 2021 Alumni both undertaking Public Management.
